Non self-referencing canonical on paginated blog pages

    Site is using Yoast Premium.

    Paginated blog pages are using the main blog page as the canonical.

    The blog page is NOT selected as the Posts page in Settings > Reading and doing so breaks the page, so that’s not an option.

    What can we do to get the paginated blog pages to correctly self canonicalize?
