    Since WP 6.1,accented characters and other scripts display merely as squares

    Hi @modernnovel,

    This is not caused by WordPress 6.1, but by the font files used by Lovecraft being changed to use local font files, which also reduced the character sets included with the theme. This means that some non-latin character sets are no longer supported by the theme.
