Non Stop "edit"

When I added a link from one webpage to another webpage on the website and do an update the page goes into a none stop edit mode and locks me out of the page. It does the update but I cannot ever get back in to the page it is always “editing” until it times it self out. It has also done this when entering SEO information. The only solution is the delete the page because I cannot get back in the page. We have updated the plugins and removed them and reentered them and still no resolution of the problem.
