It seems it isn’t possible to have them – I found only a reference to Facebook’s own button creator and I guess they are then tracking the user.

My workaround is to have the Mash share buttons on every page, and Facebook/Twitter’s own buttons on a separate page for subscribing only.

Question 1): Is it possible to have non-tracking Follow/Like buttons in Mash, did I overlook something?

Question 2): If I use Facebook/Twitter’s own Follow/Like buttons, and I put them into the Mash-content box inside the “Subscribe Content”, will that make Facebook/Twitter’s own buttons also active (tracking) when the box stays closed?

Lastly, when the Mash-Subscribe button is set to open an URL, I would prefer it would not open in a new window.

  • Hi,

    1) you can install the like bar addon, which allows you to create a static like button which links to your facebook profile page where a user can subscribe to your fanpage. This is non trackable: https://www.mashshare.net/downloads/facebook-like-bar/

    2) The like/follow buttons are still trackable by facebook. You need a static image which is linked to the fanpage

This is not possible at the moment, but something we could implement as an additional option. You can reach us support [at] mashshare.net to talk about the terms for doing this. Please refer to this thread in your mail.
