I did this nearly a couple years ago moving from b2/0.6.1 to WP/1.01, and it worked out nicely.

So if all else fails, you can fetch WP/1.01 from the archives and steal upgrade instructions from that. I can vouch they worked for me.

Eitherway, you have to be a bit more specific about the errors you’re experiencing.

First it would be good for me to mention that I’m fairly new at this as far as anything besides editing the config and hitting install is concerned.
I’m sort of familiar with phpmyadmin now, as I’ve been exploring it with all these conversion instructions, but I get stuck.

For example:

tells me to do this:
DROP TABLE wp_categories;
DROP TABLE wp_comments;
DROP TABLE wp_posts;
DROP TABLE wp_settings;
DROP TABLE wp_users;
RENAME TABLE b2categories TO wp_categories;
RENAME TABLE b2comments TO wp_comments;
RENAME TABLE b2posts TO wp_posts;
RENAME TABLE b2settings TO wp_settings;
RENAME TABLE b2users TO wp_users;

but there is no such thing as wp_settings.
I’ve tried it with the newest version of wp as well as the oldest.
And so I can’t go any further than that.

What version of b2 is this?

You probably have to do this in stages. b2 to a newer b2. newer b2 to an old wordpress. old wordpress to a new wordpress.

This, though flaky, minimizes the difference in databases between versions. And please, back everything up before you start the process. I remember starting with only 4 b2 tables.

I’m tempted to just copy paste each entry. That would only take about 48 hours strait. Caffiene time.
