• Hi, and thank you in advance for helping.

I am really new to wordpress, and working in the nonprofit field we are forced to wear many hats. Well a hat I adopted was managing the website, and we two days ago we migrating our wordpress site from an in-house server to bluehost shared hosting. With this we are now using a new domain.

    The site is: https://www.tlpchicago.org

Anyways, in the migration process images and some widgets are not working properly. I keep getting the ? icon, or a broken image icon on the header images.

If someone can help me solve this issue that would be really great. I have tried:
-Re-uploading the header images to each page
-Using the search and replace plugin to change all the urls to the new one
-Making sure all the media files have the new url

Any help, or guidance is appreciated.

  • You still have some URL issues…
For instance on this page the URL to your header image starts with
    https:///wp-content/uploads/
    etc instead of
    https://www.tlpchicago.org/wp-content/uploads/
    etc.

Can’t say that I know where it went wrong, but reuploading should work…

Which widgets don’t work and what goes wrong?

Thanks for the response! Reupload each image again to each page, or re-upload each image to the media library again?

looked like the problem is not that the image is gone, but the path to the image is not correct.
So you need to place the image again, by either uploading or from the media library
