    I am using FireFox 1.0.6.

People who have a feed reader and click on that button will get the feed loaded into their feed reader program.

For instance, I use FeedDemon. When I installed it, it created the ‘feed’ protocol and told the computer that it was the prgram to handle all such matters. So when I click, it all works.

It is not meant to be looked at in a browser like that.

From my dealings with Yahoo, the US and UK feeds look quite different for the same feed.

The BBC have a fairly good explanation of RSS
    https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/help/3223484.stm

    1. We cannot see your yahoo page since we are not logged in as… you ??
    2. If you click on the “RSS feed for theis thread” just below this post, you’ll see exactly the same message about “feed”. You can remove the word “feed” from your sidebar’s code.
    3. The RSS feeds are not really for clicking on them. Feedreaders know what to do with them.
    4. In MyYahoo I just put my blog’s URL in the field and the “clever” reader found where the feed is and everything is shown on MyYahoo.

When I click the “RSS feed for this thread,” it says “feed is not a registered protocol.”

Does my feed work for you?

I am not sure where you mean when you say “You can remove the word “feed” from your sidebar’s code.” Do you mean to remove the graphic?

When I put my URL in MyYahoo, I get this message: “Sorry, we didn’t find anything about “https://www.atticshoppe.com/blog/”. But you still may be able to add something about “https://www.atticshoppe.com/blog/” to your page.”

    I am still confused…

    Jeanne
