Noob Installation

  • Hi.
    I have the free version and like it.
    But I need some of the pro features.
    However I have zero tech skills.

    When I purchase the PRO version, how do I upload/upgrade the free one?

    I am not confident about DL files and uploading them to my server.
    Is it installed via the plug in menu in my admin page?

    Thank you for your inquiry! Upgrading to the pro version should be pretty straightforward. First, deactivate and uninstall the free version of the plugin. Then, head over to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin and upload the pro plugin ZIP file. After uploading and activating the plugin, go to Settings > Forum Images to enter your license key received at checkout. That should be all that’s needed.

    If you get an error message when uploading images in your forums with the pro version, head over to Settings > Forum Images > Image Storage (tab), check the settings, and click Save Changes (even if you didn’t change any of the settings).     Cheers, I will give that a go in a week or so.
    The free plugin appears to be popular so it seems like a win-win to buy the pro.

    I assume the pro plugin zip comes from the purchase as DL folder?
