• As a WP Meetup and WordCamp Organizer, we as a team evaluated it together for the first time. Overall we were not impressed.

It adds sooooo many more clicks to do simple editing to a page. The fact that I have to click 6 times to toggle between Design and Text is frustrating.

Also frustrating to me was how the tool bars seemed so hidden or I would have to keep looking to the right bar to find everything.

I can’t even imagine how I’m going to have to train my clients on this.

Classic Editor is installed on ALL my clients sites and I WON’T be using this for as long as I can.

  • Thanks for the feedback @karissa – every bit helps!

The Classic Editor will be available and supported for as long as you need, so no worries about that.

You said in your topic here that the tram should “let it bake more” – the good thing is that is the plan already ?? The goal for Gutenberg has always been to only merge it into WordPress Core once it is ready, so you can rest assured that once that does happen, the majority of the problematic bugs will be ironed out.
