i have several self-hosted wordpress sites that have this same error, and it’s actually rather common to see with a google search… i have updated my wordpress installations and deleted the nextgen install folders, deactivated every other plugin, nothing helps.

    RUNTIMEEXCEPTION THROWN

C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery\products\photocrati_nextgen\modules\nextgen_basic_gallery\templates\thumbnails\default-view.php.php is not a valid MVC template

    Hi @osv1,

We are sorry for the inconvenience created. Most likely this is related with the changes from the latest NextGen Gallery update. Our developers will look into replicating it on our own IIS instances.

As a temporary workaround, please revert to NextGen Gallery 3.37 that can be downloaded from: https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/nextgen-gallery.3.37.zip

    Hi @osv1,

We are happy to inform you that the latest NextGen Gallery update (3.41) should fix the “not a valid MVC Template” problem that you have reported.

    We appreciate your patience

    Hi!
I have exactly the same problem now – I updated from Version 3.41 (where everything worked fine) to Version 3.54, and get the following Error:

Fatal error: Uncaught Exception: C:\wamp64\vhosts\www\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery/templates\C:\wamp64\vhosts\www\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery\templates\Thumbnails\default-view.php.php is not a valid MVC template
    in?C:\wamp64\vhosts\www\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery\src\Display\View.php?on line?284

Seems to be the same problem in the new Version?
