    Hello, Good Day to you.
I am a startup founder and have recently created the website alternativeai.io
I have access to hosting account but recently my website went down, and have been unable to log in.

I’ve just hired a developer from Upwork who has all logins, but he hasn’t got back to me, I have had heaps of traffic on my website and now I fear the worst for my business

The hosting site is active till June 2024, and I have access to everything required .

With i was unable to contact anyone at www.ads-software.com to get simple access, and then trying wordpress.com, they have told me go on this forum to ask someone to help me this way, so with this all new to me, i hope someone can kindly advise me how can i simply log into my websites.

    Kind Regards
    Neel

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

none of these are working – I’m not sure what the issue is !!! I suspect my developer (from upwork) has done something as he has gone incognito .

Ok, you might slow down, the same issue you have may be occurring in other places, and your tech may be knee deep, and until they recognize it may be due to an update rather than a failure they dont want to reach out.

1st, You have access to your host, so can you restore your site from the backup on your hosting site?
2nd Does your hosting site report traffic and show you when it went offline?
3rd Does that time happen to be the same as an update of one of the components?
4th Go back days before the site failed and restore using that file.
5th Once you are back up you can then start identifying causes.
Start with your host and back ups that most do nightly.
Non Tech site owner that went through this in last 12 hours.

Also, what exactly happens when you try to log in?

Your website is currently accessible to me without any problems. Has the problem been solved in the meantime? If so, please feel free to set the topic to solved.
