• Hi,
I am having an issue with the custom links in the menu.
Whenever I am trying to add a custom link in the main menu, it doesn’t show.

Please let me know if there is any way I can fix this issue.

Also, would like to know if there is a version of Pique theme that is AMP compatible.
WordPress keeps on reminding me that Pique doesn’t support AMP. So was curious.

    Thanks
    Prashant

Are you adding that link to the menu and upon publishing it, it disappears? Please share a screenshot of how exactly that menu is looking when you’re editing it so I can have a look and further help you troubleshoot it.

There’s only one version of that theme and the front page as configured with the panels is not compatible with AMP. Other pages and posts on that theme are compatible though.

Hi Prashant, there should be a “Location” option just below the areas you’ve shared in these screenshots. The location would indicate where the menu is displayed, and this should be set to Primary in Pique. Can you go back to one of those menu configuration screens and ensure Primary is checked?

Please have a look and let me know if there is any other configuration missing that i need to do.

That’s weird. Is this the first time this is happening? If you add a different item in the menu does it show up?

    Hey @fstat,
    Sorry for the delayed reply.
I think I found the issue. The issue is with the main menu. The main menu only shows the pages we add to the panels. we can create submenus but if we try to add custom items to the main menu, it doesn’t show.

I was trying to add a new custom page called video gallery to the main menu. This page is not added to any panels.
Now as this page is not added to any panel, it doesn’t show in the main menu. when I tried to add the page as a submenu to the gallery item in the main menu. it works.

So please check this issue as it seems to be an issue with the main menu.

    Thanks
    Prashant

    Hi there,

The main menu only shows the pages we add to the panels.

In the Customizer, go to Theme Options ->Menu Settings, and disable the option, “Add an anchor menu to the front page.”

If you have that setting enabled, it overrides any custom menu you create for the front page in Pique, replacing it with a page jump menu to the front page panels instead. Other pages on the site will show your custom menu, though – if you look at https://mbjhatchery.com/the-journey/, for example, you’ll see it has your custom menu.

If you disable that setting you won’t have a page jump menu on the front page, but it will show the same custom menu that displays on other pages.
