    I think most probably you are running out of memory. How much memory is allocated to php in your server? You can find this information in “Bulk Delete -> System Info”.

    In v5.2 which I just released, you can try to delete users in batches. Update to v5.2 and see if you are getting the same issue even when you try to delete in batches.

    Also I am assuming that you are not using any of my addons. Is that correct?

    Thank you for your help. I tried again with v5.2 and got the same result. Yes that is correct I am not using addons. Would that help? There is no way to delete in batches as far as I can see.

    Yes, my suspicion is correct. WordPress has only 64 MB of memory and with that it will not be able to delete 20k users in a single go.

    As I said before try to delete them in batches. When you go to “Bulk Delete -> Bulk Delete Users -> By User Role”, enable the “Only delete first x users” option and enter a value like 100 or something. After that try to increase the values slowly to see that maximum value supported by your server.

    That didn’t work, not even 20.

    So do I need to add memory? I don’t know how but can look into it. How much would I need?

    Thank you very much for your help. I’m not a savy user but I’m trying!

    Should I assume that this plug-in won’t work for me and I will have to delete them manually? Or will using an addon help?

    I guess there is some problem in your server configuration. Will it be possible for you to give me access to your server so that I can have a look around?

    You can send me the username and password through this form https://bulkwp.com/contact/

    @ericamays,

    I didn’t receive any email from you. Are you still facing this issue?

    My site has been hacked and the plug-in was removed. I hope you are not facing this issue with other clients.

    Sorry to hear about your site being hacked.

    I would strongly recommend you to either contact your web host or hire someone to find out how your site was hacked and whether any backdoor is left open or not.

    Most of the time hackers leave a backdoor on the sites they have hacked.
