Not able to insert embeded video without using shortcodes
-
Hi all,
I have a slight problem that has been driving me potty for a while now. I love, love, love the Hueman Theme, paid for the pro version, but there is one niggle little issue that I can not seem to resolve.
For some reason, when I want to embed a video into my posts from YouTube or other sites, I have to use the shortcode [youtube] (or which ever one I want to embed from)- which is all well and good, but I use my site with WP RSS Aggregator Feed To Post, and even though this plugin is correctly pulling the feeds in, tags and all, it keeps showing the video embeds as the text [embedded content] and not the embedded video.
I have noted that you are able to enter the iframe code or the link to the video on YouTube or other sites and WordPress will automatically use oEmbed to collect the correct information for embedding the video, but for some reason for me when I try embedding video this way, all I get is a large white-space where the video should be rendered. I have checked the source code to see if the iframe tag is there and correctly formatted which it appears to be so.
What I need is for the iframe or link of the videos I automatically import to display as I believe it should be, without having to go and get each YouTube link myself and insert it in via the shortcode.
Going through all the info on the net that I can find, and trying many different options, I believe I have narrowed it down to an issue with the theme, or the way WordPress interacts with the theme. Or maybe there is some setting I’m am too blind to see…
Any help is much appreciated.
