• Just installed 2.8 and now I am not able to post or see my previous posts.
Also all of my photos that were loaded after inflate to a massive size that can’t be seen properly when thumbnails are clicked. All worked fine before the upgrade. Everything showed to be no bigger than 500px (the width of my middle column).

I made some changes in the media settings after the download, but it didn’t change anything – even newly added photos.

To get the dashboard back in order, I disabled all of my plugins to make sure it wasn’t one of them – no change.

I also tried a new template to rule that out as well.

    Plugins:
    advertising Manager
    adsense manager
    akismet
    Top 10 posts
    MaxBlog Press Flavicon
    WP stats
    WP spam-free
    Next Gen Gallery

Any suggestions??? I might be losing my mind!!

  • Have you tried renaming the plugins folder via FTP. Sometimes even an “inactive” plugin can create problems.

Also try switching to the default theme to rule out theme-related issues. A.N.Random theme may have problems of its own.

Tried this and my webhost suggested I also load the fckeditor, which I did. No change…

I am not able to edit posts or add new posts from the ‘posts’ tab. I am however able to quickpress via the dashboard, which is almost no good to me because my template requires me to add thumbnails and excerpt text to each post.

    Any suggestions will be welcomed.

    Thank you!

Update: We did a clean install in a secondary folder, made sure it worked, then dropped the database tables for that install and imported the original database.

We copied the themes folder over and made sure it worked, then copied the files from secondary folder to the public_html folder and removed all instances of the secondary folder from the database.

    Still nothing!!

    Any suggestions??
