Not able to post using any external applications

Hey guys (and gals),

I’m a fairly new user of wordpress and I’m stumpted. I’m trying to post to a blog using a series of exteranl applications (deepest sender firefox extention, wordpress dashboard widget for Mac OS X, digg website and the like).

When I try to post using the digg website, I get an error “
For the url I’m using: “There was an error – transport error – HTTP status code was not 200”
Using Deepest Sender, I get “type error: Node has no properties”
I’m using this url for the entry:
https://mike.aldersonfamily.com/xmlrpc.php.

For the time being, I’ve set the permissions on the xmlrpc.php file to 777, didn’t help.

Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!
