not able to print labels on certain orders

It’s strange that some of your orders do not have the link to print the labels.

Just to be sure, have you already “created” the shipping label for these orders, or does the “Create Shipping Label” button doesn’t show/work as well?

Also, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

I uninstalled woo services yesterday and reinstalled and did about 50 test orders, some had the option to print a shipping label while most DID NOT. So no I can’t even print a label on most orders. The screen shot of what I see most of the time is here: screen shot

Thanks for that information!

The biggest issue that jumps out to me here is that you’re on an unsupported version of PHP. Please update to PHP version 7.2+ (ideally 7.4), then try testing again to see if you only randomly get the shipping label option.

If you still have issues, are there any similarities between the orders with the missing print label options? How about between the ones with the option? An order must have at least one physical (non-virtual) product associated with it for the print label option to appear. Also, you’ll want to make sure that all products have weights and dimensions added.

OK I updated to page PHP7.3 because when I update to PHP7.4 I get a 200 error wpcom connection test.

We only sell tangible products and all are marked as such, they all have the same weights 2lbs, package dimensions 20 x 14 x 4 and all ship for free….

All items are simple items and there’s no commonality when it chooses to work or not.

On items I have done test purchases on that did not give the label option… I went and duplicated that item and created a new listing and purchased that one and the label does appear.

Makes no sense.

I believe I found the common denominator. It’s the use of quotation ” marks in the title!!!!

These were used to display the length of the item since the larger they are the more highly sought after they are! Once I edited the listings to display in. Instead of ” it appears the problem is completely resolved.

I don’t have issue with the title naming but having the same error. I’m getting that message of section not loading at wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=shipping&section=woocommerce-services-settings and also on all orders.

I tried replicating this issue and couldn’t get the same results. To check, you have the " within the product name like what is shown in the image below?

47″ x 32″ large size etc.

I used a bulk editor and changed all titles that had ” to in. Abbreviation and now the label shows up consistently in all orders:)

Okay, thanks for the info! Since I can’t replicate I’m not going to report this as a bug at this time.

It happened again on a listing I missed that sold today. .

Here’s the exact title I was using

56″ x 39″ very large Genuine goatskin decorative fur throw rug pelt hide black brown white

Once I put the order on hold, added an item with the fixed title, deleted that item with the ” then the label button appeared….

Maybe this will help you recreate the issue.
