    Hello,

I was in the search of a caching plugin that is easy to handle and gets the job done. Unfortunately I dont have any experience with webhosting and configuration.

Gator Cache looked like just what I need. I installed the plugin, enabled the page cache and… nothing happend. I cannot see any difference in speed and cannot find the debug information in the source code of a page (although the box is ticked).

    What could have gone wrong?

I also copied the block of code to my .htaccess file but that did not have any effect as well.

    My tech support info is:

    WordPress: 4.3
    PHP: 5.4.41-0+deb7u1
    Handler: cgi-fcgi
    System: Linux host44.checkdomain.de 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.65-1+deb7u1 x86_64
    Web User: xlielyic
    Writable: Yes

Can you please help me? :-/

The Plugin is installed, active and on standard setup (page cache active, debug active, cache rules untouched after install, no costum rules, users or posts added)

    My page is https://goldfasanblog.de/

Cannot get your website to render. However here are a few reasons it may not cache:

    1) You are logged in

    2) There is a another cache plugin installed that overwrote advanced-cache.php. However, if you visit GatorCache in the dash is will automatically overwrite to the correct advanced-cache.

    3) It cannot read the cache directory. However, you’re settings say writable so I don’t think that’s the issue.

    4) You are not using permalinks. For the cache to work, you’d need to set up path style permalinks. IE no query strings.

    5) Another plugin is breaking the cache or setting the global constant DONOTCACHEPAGE, which GatorCache respects and will not cache – such as on the WooCommerce checkout and cart pages.

If you continue to have issues please reply to this thread.
