Not able to set the site title

If you changed it to anything other than this and its not showing, Try clearing cache.

I see that you are using WP FAstest cache plugin, try flushing it and see if it changes.

Hi Kuldeep. what’s a site title tag? I deactivated the plugin and made the change. Still not working. if you see the site title it says AIQod. Need to make it AIQoD

title tag is used to show website title.

If you have a theme setting determining that tag, it will override wordpress settings. You need to check with your theme settings.

If not, he site title is stored in the?wp_options?table of your WordPress database.?If none of the above solutions work, you might want to check this table to see if the site title has been correctly updated.

I understood what you were saying about the title tag. You were referring to the html tag in the head of the html.

It is not changing. I checked the editech theme settings. I cleared the cache in the WP fastest cache(I thought of deleting the cache altogther but not sure that is a bright idea). I checked the options table- the blogname says AIQoD. Yet the title tag stays AIQod.

Thanks for the help. Do you think there is anything else we can do about it?

some plugin might be storing the old site title, most likely WPML plugin. If not, check with Yoast. You can use this: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ to disable plugins in safe mode.

Yes, used sitehealth and came to know it’s coz of yoast seo. How to rectify it? Cannot disable it. deactivate and then activate? what should I do?

There must be some setting to update site title. If not, run Setup Wizard and you should be able to update it.

Clear cache again. If not, Use Health check to determine if either some other theme or plugin is causing this.

At this point, I would just hard-code it into my website If I were you.

You will find <title> tag in the header.php file of your theme’s base directory.

Here is the path:

/wp-content/themes/(your theme name here)/header.php

Hello. My apologies for late reply.

In my case I did not have access to the php files. I do not clearly remember. But on our site we had a few plugins that had options to set the title and they were clashing. I changed the site title in all those plugins and it worked.
