This seems to be just what we are looking for to add member email to our site for admin and supporters. But we can not seem to get it to work?

Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.

    Hello,

For imap:ssl your settings appear to be correct. Please confirm you are able to connect to the imap server on port 993 directly from the WP server. To do this try a “telnet yourserver.com 993” command from the cshell if you have access to it.

If you are not able to connect through telnet there may be firewall or some other network issue causing the connection to fail.

You can also try adjusting the imap timeouts in the MailCWP admin page.

There is currently no pop3 support. Mail is sent directly from the WP server rather than via SMTP.

My hosting Co. is very nice and we have several accounts with them and we can access our email a lot of ways. hmmmmmm we can make a new account and it will send passwords and we can ask for new password and it will email password from server from wp….
No luck on this plugin….We can access webmail and live mail and mac-os and a lot of other service to the server. But not this….It must be a setting some place. Confirmed telnet working and able to see inbox, drafts, junk, trash, sent so telnet is working with imap by ip and dns…..????? So what should I try now?

We’ll have to do some testing to determine what the issue might be.

Are the details provided in your initial post still valid?

    A couple of questions:
    1. is the host “our.server.com” or “ourserver.com”?
    2. is the username “[email protected]” or “[email protected]

We can connect to ourserver.com however validate certificates fails with this server. You will need to toggle off Validate Certificates.

Next we appear to be having authentication issues so if we can confirm the correct username and password we can test from there.

Use the [mailcwp] shortcode on any page. The settings will be presented automatically when you first visit that page. The settings are also available from the Gear icon in the toolbar.

Email accounts can also be configured through the WordPress user admin pages.
