    Hi

After copying a site to a new install on WP Engine in order to make a new language version and updating plugins it is no longer possible to update content with Elementor plugin.

Save button just keeps on spinning forever when we’re trying to save our changes.

We’ve already tried disabling all other plugins, purching cache and changing theme to WP default themes. Didn’t fix our issue.

We’ve update the config file according to your Please read before posting guideline

    Install is located here: cnconsitentemp.wpengine.com

  • Have you tried going to Elementor > Tools in wp-admin and using Elementor’s built-in Replace URL functionality to update Elementor data in the database? Might help if there are still URLs in the new site’s database related to the original site.

Also try re-saving permalinks to force WordPress to flush its rewrite cache…

    Hi purbeckpixels

    Thanks for your quick reply.

I just tried both your suggestions and I’m afraid the issue remains.

    Hi,

I see you have the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle active?
That belongs to the SiteOrigin pagebuilder and might very well cause conflict with elementor pagebuilder?

Are there still widgets created with the SiteOrigin builder that therefore now are no longer editable because you are using Elementor now?

Same goes for the Black Studio TinyMCE Widget. Elementor has its own text widget, so maybe if earlier Black Studio TinyMCE Widget widgets where created, that could cause conflicts too.

I know you have tried disabling all plugins, but what if the previously created widgets form siteorigin and Black Studio TinyMCE Widget are the cullprit?

Turns out it was an SSL related issue. It has now been fixed.

Thanks for your time anyway ??

Ah, glad it’s resolved, these things can be a frustrating pain!

    Hi @logologics,

Just a heads up mate, the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle is actually compatible with Elementor (reference). ??

    Hi Alex,

Now that you mention it, I do remember now reading about that somewhere.
    Cool!

    Thanks!
    Annie
