Not able to upload new images or create new pages

  • Dandelion Theme.
    I am fairly new to WP and have several problems that have left me confused. I am the admin and I can no longer create new pages. There is no option to save my new page and apart from submit for review or save draft, which if I try this it says “Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again. I can however edit copy on existing pages. I am also unable to upload new images. I have tried to upload new images via ftp after trying both options and it hangs when cruching the file. I can see the file I have update on the ftp window, but when I try to update in to an old page they are not there in the media folder.
    Am I missing something obvious, is this an issue with permissions? I would appreciate some advice.

  • It sounds as if you are not logged in to an admin account quite possibly?

    Are you certain that account is at admin level, and not perhaps editor?

    Also, ftp images will not appear in your media viewe. WP does not recognize FTP content, images would need to be uploaded through the WP interface

    If your account is certainly admin level, you may have a plugin / theme conflict

    The best way to test for those is to swicth to 2011 theme and test your site

    Then deactivate all plugins and test your site
