Not Able To Upload to Media Library

That said, if you want your videos to be posted to VideoPress servers, you will need to follow one of the three upload options laid out here: https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-videopress/uploading-a-video-to-jetpack-videopress.

Uploading to your Media Library in WP Admin will simply host the videos on the local server and not that of VideoPress.

Furthermore, to get the full experience with VideoPress and to be able to upload via the VideoPress dashboard in WP Admin, you will need to install the standalone Jetpack VideoPress plugin here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/jetpack-videopress/.

Also, if you have the standalone plugin, you can simply push the local videos you have uploaded so far to VideoPress from the Local videos section as shown here: https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-videopress/the-jetpack-videopress-dashboard/#manage-local-videos

Thanks for the kind reply. Looking at my WP Admin, I don’t have the option of WP Admin > Jetpack > VideoPress.

Like I mentioned in my original post, until recently, I could upload to the VideoPress CDN directly from our site’s media library, while some of our team had issues with it and others didn’t, and I’m currently having an issue with it.

We have the VideoPress plugin installed, but there’s nowhere in the dashboard to upload videos or see a list of local videos as referenced in the link your share here https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-videopress/the-jetpack-videopress-dashboard/#manage-local-videos.

Thank for you for the information and screenshots. The only thing out of place I see when looking at the site is that thexmlrpc.php file is blocked.

While your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file:

• https://DOMAIN.COM/xmlrpc.php

This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:

• XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

You can see a working example here:

• https://wp.cloud/xmlrpc.php

Since your site returns a 403 error for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:

• Can you see the /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP? If you don’t, then please try re-installing WordPress. You can do this by going to the Dashboard -> Upgrades page, then click the “Reinstall” button.
• Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.
• Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.

Once we are able to access your site’s xmlrpc.php file, please try to reconnect your site:
