I am having the same trouble as others with placing bids.

Installed latest version of plug in on WP4.0 today. On placing bid, the screen goes dark and spinning ball; but it then hangs.

Have tried on multiple browsers (Safari and Firefox) in case it was a browser issue, but same result in both browsers.

    Cheers,

    Mark

    Bump?

After experimenting today, this seems to be a role based/permissions issue. Test user is able to place bids only if elevated to the role of Administrator. Kind of defeats the purpose thought…. Any thoughts.

OK, little further experimentation… It seems a plug in conflict. Used clean log in plugin to provide a cleaner experience for users (e.g. dashboard removal) particularly for those who don’t know how to use wordpress.

This was causing the place bid to fail. Once I changed the options to again show the users dashboard bid were able to be placed even at subscriber role.

I don’t know if I actually want subscribers to see dashboards etc, I think it will just confuse them…

    Hi hcassist,

The behavior of ‘Clean Login’ plugin is such that it restricts the access to wp-admin area.

It looks that it not only restricts the access to non admin users, but also it has impact over requests that goes to wp-admin.

Our plugin uses WordPress AJAX feature which requires access to wp-admin. So, if that area is restricted, there could be issue with bid place.

You may user an alternative plugin for ‘Clean Login’ to keep users on front end instead of back end.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Just to follow up on your issue, you could try peter’s login redirect plugin for the same purpose.
