Not all authors showing up in backend when posting

Hi,

We have a bunch of different roles for authors in the backend (some for authors that post themselves, others for authors that we post on behalf of) – but all of a sudden, some of those roles do not show up when creating a new post. This means, that if we try to post on behalf of certain author roles – they do not show up in the dropdown menu in the posting process, and cannot be selected. Any thoughts on what we need to do?
