• I’ve setup GA within TAG manager with enhanced e-commerce as per your tutorial. Everything works but we noticed daily about 10% of the orders are not being tracked in Ecommerce on GA.

    These orders are 90% paypal, 5% credit/debit card, 5 clearpay.

    I assume that customers after paying with paypal do not return to the thank you page (we do have auto return on paypal turned on) and because they do not return, the tag manager doesn’t send the order.

    That is just my assumption. Do you know if this could be correct and how this could be solved?

    Hi Adrian,

    Well yes, if any payment gateway does not force your customer back to the order received page, that purchase tracking will be missing from your reports. This is because tracking is done inside the browser of your user and not on the server side.

    10% can be also from users using ad blockers to prevent tracking codes to run.
