    Hi there,

A little background. We have WordPress installed with BuddyPress. When we export the xProfile Fields, if we export a lower amount of columns (it can vary), it exports all the rows, however once we go past a threshold, a lot of the rows are not exported leaving us with a reduced number of users exported.

I have tried to figure out if it was related to the columns that were exported, but this issue occurs regardless of which columns are exported.

Is there some limit on the number of columns the exporter can have or some limitation that you are aware of?

Did you check your error logs or see any notice about timeouts – there is a way to break larger exports by controlling the number of rows exported.

The number of rows that can be exported will vary on every server and set-up.

Check for errors and try the limits to achieve larger exports.

Yeah I looked into the error logs and didn’t see any errors related to the export.

As for the option to limit, it is a good workaround but ideally I’d like to figure out why it can’t export the whole thing in one go.

The reason it can’t export everything will vary for each server setup – those limitation options are the workaround nearly everyone running large exports resort to.

If you find a better way, please be sure to let us know!

The problem I was getting annoyed with was the fact that we had 4gb of memory so it made no sense. But it looks like the previous developer had set a limit in the wp-config file to limit the memory to 256mb. Increasing it solved the issue.

Good news – glad you find a solution.
