I installed WordPress according to the detailed installation instructions on this site and the index.php page shows up fine, but when I try to log in as admin I get a 403 Forbidden message (I checked the permissions and made sure everything was allowed). I can get in to the back end through the edit post option on the index page and I am also able to edit the post and change themes from there, but I would really like to be able to log in normally. What gives?

P.S. I also cannot view comments, gives a ‘Page Cannot Be Found’ screen…

    Almost forgot-

I used SetupWP to get everything ready, and it seemed to work fine, but when I did the install WordPress said that it installed successfully with a bunch of junk underneath it:

ess database error Table ‘piglet_wydk.wp_options’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT option_value FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = ‘siteurl’ WordPress database error Table ‘piglet_wydk.wp_options’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT option_name, option_value FROM wp_options WHERE autoload = ‘yes’ WordPress database error Table ‘piglet_wydk.wp_options’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT option_name, option_value FROM wp_options WordPress database error Table ‘piglet_wydk.wp_options’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT option_value FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = ‘use_smilies’ LIMIT 1 WordPress database error Table ‘piglet_wydk.wp_options’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT option_name, option_value FROM wp_options WHERE autoload = ‘yes’ WordPress database error Table ‘piglet_wydk.wp_options’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT option_name, option_value FROM wp_options WordPress database error Table ‘piglet_wydk.wp_options’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT option_value FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = ‘cron’ LIMIT 1 WordPress database error Table ‘piglet_wydk.wp_options’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT option_value FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = ‘siteurl’

    Maybe that will help…

I was able to log in recently, but now I get a message that my username is incorrect and I am copying it exactly from the email I got detailing my set up of my Word Press Blog.
Or, when I go to the log in page, I get a “Not Found

The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/2.2.6 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.6 OpenSSL/0.9.8g DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at https://www.davidkagen.com Port 80″

    How do I log in?

I would ask the host if there are FrontPage extensions on the server and if so please remove them.

This may have something to do with your problem . . .
