Not allowed to post on next page?

  • I added three more categories in my blog besides the “uncategorized” category the software came with. I plan to separate each category blog on one separate page each. I can open each page, but when I put a blog on page 2, the blog was published with the caption “edit this entry” on this category of “Games and Gadgets”.

    After a lot of trials, the blog was unwarrantedly deleted from page two with a notification that the blog was a suspected scam. An email was sent to myself coming from myself saying that there was a suspected spam. Now why would I spam my own site?

    And why can I not use the next pages for another category before I finished the first page? Defragmenting problems on the site?

    You have 4 categories plus your front page. You’ve published a number of posts. These will all appear on your front page as well as being listed on the individual category pages.

    I have no idea why you got a “suspected spam” message. Could have been a combination of a number of things you attempted in that post before it was deleted.

    Your main problem seems to be that you haven’t get grasped how a WordPress blog works “out of the box”. Every post you publish will appear on your front page – irrespective of what category you have assigned it to. The “next page” link will be automatically generated when the number of posts on your front page exceeds the figure you set in Admin/Settings/Reading. The same applies to category pages when the number of posts in a category exceeds this number.

    There’s no fragmentation taking place. This is how a standard WordPress blog works.

    The “suspected spam” and the consequent deletion occurred after I selected a box captioned “contact”.

    The “suspected spam” message was sent to my email address. It appears that it is you who has no full grasp of this software.

    I may not have grasped fully how wordpress works, but if this software does not allow a separate page for its category as I intended, then what good would an admin’s work be?

    The blog becomes a very simple continuing single page blog, no?

    Hokay, I’ve got it—a different blogging page for a different category.
    In other words, a separate blog inside a blog!
    This procedure is posted in another post somewhere.
