If you want to uninstall it you can only do so in deleting the plugin on the server…. if you use the plugin deactivation it gives you a (not true) server error

A once good plugin is now crippled for profit… If you gonna buy it you most likely get some decent plugin… but there are others out there…

    Hi Fezzi,

We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. Providing a seamless experience for all our users is our top priority.

In most cases, uninstalling the plugin is straightforward and doesn’t require removal from the server. If you’re encountering this issue, it’s likely because your hosting provider may have pre-installed it in the MU folder, which can cause this behavior. We strictly adhere to WordPress guidelines, ensuring a clean and easy uninstall process. If you submit a support ticket in the forum, we’d be happy to assist in resolving this for you.

We want to reassure you that the free version is trusted by millions of users and large hosting companies. For those seeking additional protection, we offer a premium version with enhanced features. Please also consider that maintaining the free plugin, including offering support, requires significant resources. Upgrading not only provides advanced protection for the user, but helps us continue improving WordPress security for everyone.

    Thank you for your feedback.

Sorry guys…. I am not falling for your PR blaba…

I am an IT technician and I know what I am doing… fact is, that the uninstall process isn’t working as it should and you try to keep inexperienced users to stick with it…. We could reproduce this behavior on many different servers… to point the finger on the “hosting company” is just poor… your plugin was once trusted and good until you cut it down to make a cash cow out of it.
I wish you good luck with your new business model…

    Hi Fezzie,

According to WordPress, Limit Login Attempts Reloaded is downloaded and uninstalled thousands of times daily (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/limit-login-attempts-reloaded/advanced/). If there were an issue with uninstalling, we would be receiving hundreds of complaints weekly on the forums. Additionally, WordPress would suspend and remove our plugin from the marketplace if it violated their terms of service, which we take very seriously.

We have tested the uninstall process on the latest version and didn’t have any problem. Without more details about your specific issue, we’re unable to accurately diagnose it. That’s why we recommend opening a ticket in our support forum, so we can investigate further.
