Just hangs for hours saying unpacking

What version of the plugin are you using? With the version 3.2.2, you can use the advanced options that you suggested (see https://www.dropbox.com/s/7c8hz4sfyhq868m/Screen%20Shot%202015-04-13%20at%203.04.57%20PM.png?dl=0).

Also, you can try to right click and save link as instead of clicking download button.
