Not bad, but I was disappointed

  • The plugin claims that it offers customization of the styling of each webinar page.(c) However, it is not true. I have tried with Zoom and the custom CSS did not work. When I asked customer support, they told me to put the styles instead in scripts. Which I did. But it did not solve the problem fully. The look of Zoom page of the webinar remained the exact same white + blue and there is no way to style it. So no, the customization for Zoom does not work fully. When I was pointed that out, I was told that I am being “unacceptable” because I felt misled by the claim (quoted above). The reason was that I was waiting for my Fortune 500 client to confirm if they can live with not fully branded webinar page or not and needed an extension on free cancellation for that, as they are a large company and need time to make decisions and I promised them full customization, based on WebinarPress claim quoted above (which I was not able to deliver, because it is simply not the reality for Zoom). I would rate the plugin higher despite the setback if not for the attitude.

    I’m sorry you had a bad experience with both WebinarPress and our support. We’ll be making changes to our website to make it clear that we are not able to change the look and feel of the Zoom video component.

    We’ll also try to do better in the future when communicating these issues to users via support.
