    Hi ramonjosegn,

Sorry I am new to the plugin repository so I was mistaken when I used my original file names for the screen shots. I have just uploaded the new screen shot files as screenshot-1.png and screenshot-2.png so now the screen shots show up.

Just a little explanation. dpaBadBot is an independent php program that does the blocking of bad bots and blocks people from logging into your WordPress website. It does not block Google, Bing and Yahoo as there is a default list of ip addresses allowed. You can add more IP addresses to this list.

This plugin, dpaBadBotWP, was designed to pick up your current IP address and send it to dpaBadBot so that your IP address will not be blocked from accessing your WordPress site.

You can add bad bots to be blocked by providing their IP address or their name. In general, you will find that ‘good’ bots provide a name but bad bots do not. You can allow good bots unlimited access to your site by adding their range of ip addresses. Majestic12 and AhrefBot are not bad bots but they do come very often. If you want such bots to visit your site then place their ip address range in the allowed list.

If you are not sure what is the ip address of the good bots that you want to allow as visitors, then monitor the daily list of visitors to get their IP address and then add it to allowed list and delete it form the automatically generated black list (if it is already in the black list).

You can get more information on dpaBadBot at https://www.dpabadbot.com and this website explains about the dpaBadBotWP plugin at https://www.dpabadbot.com/dpabadbotwp-wordpress-plugin-for-dpabadbot.php.

I do hope I have answered your questions. Please do get back to me if you need more explanation.

    Hi ramonjosegn,

There is a 30 day trial version which is free. You can try that out and if you like what you see then you can purchase a license copy to use.

Give it a try and let me know.

    Best regards,
    Peter
