• Hi! First of all thank you for a great plugin! It works really great and helped me to block thousands of annoying spammers

The last few days the spammers make their way to my inbox, it looks like the plugin does not work as expected, please look in to this, thanks

i used sevral key to block a specific scammer, like his IP address and words that he is using in every email (like “Robertted”), and it’s not getting blocked

I’m having the same issue… stopped blocking. I am using Elementor Pro. I did some tests this morning and it blocks the exact match word such as ‘marketing’ if I put that in and only that in. It does not block any terms that are in a phrase or sentence so ‘Email marketing is underrated, and yet it works so well.’ gets through even though marketing is in the phrase and should be blocked.

I have Maspik Version 0.8.2 Free version

    More testing.

It works fine for the ‘text area’ fields, but not for the ‘text’ fields. I tried on Elementor Pro Version 3.13.2 and Version 3.15.0. ‘Text’ fields are only blocked if it’s an exact match. It does not block if you add any additional characters to the field. When I switched the form field from text to text area, it blocked the spam both as exact match and after adding additional words to the field. So certain fields are not working correctly.

@wiseowldigital , did you speaking about text area field or text field? (The short one on the more bigger one?)

After testing, I found that ‘text area’ field (bigger one) does work properly. No issue with ‘text area’.

‘Text’ field does not block properly. ‘Text’ field (short one) needs to be troubleshooted on elementor pro. ‘text’ field only blocks exact match and not phrases with the word in it.

Dear plugin auther thanks for taking time to address this issue
i am using elementor pro forms
all info to block is entered in the “Text area field”, and/also the IP address
here is my contact page url https://tinyurl.com/2jf4kktf
the word “Robertted” is on the list to be blocked
i confirm the is not working right now

@abhg613 I just tested and “Robertted” is blocked properly on your ‘text area’ field aka large ‘message’ section. I recieved the spam message when I entered “Robertted” as well as “Robertted” with other words.

The other sections (name and subject) appear to be ‘text’ fields and do not have ‘Robertted” on their blocked list.
