A site using Cleantalk has been the subject of hundreds of failed log in attempts – getting locked out by limit log in attempts but still causing drain on site resources. All show different IP’s coming from ordinary websites. I have installed a change log in page plugin to combat this but thought this plugin should prevent such attacks.

    Hello, @danielgturner

Our Security plugin adds a delay of a few seconds for any failed attempt to login to the WordPress back-end. If some IPs have 10 and more attempts to log in, then these IPs will be banned for the next 24 hours.

To see the full report, please do the following:
WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Security by CleanTalk —> tab “Security Log”

You can also change the address to login script here:
WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Security by CleanTalk —> General Settings —> enable “Change address to login script” —> Save Changes.

    The guide is here: https://cleantalk.org/help/change-wp-login-url

    Did it help?`
