Not Combining Footnote references that including in headings

Hi,
Are there any known issues with combining references when one of the footnote tags is included in a heading?

I’m having the same reference repeating in the reference list in the footer. This seems to be occurring when one of the tags in the text is in a header.

I’m using Elementor, which could be complicating things, but I wonder if you knew of any issues that could cause identical tags to not be recognized as identical if one is in a <p>((ReferenceX))</p> and one is in an eg <h4>((ReferenceX))</h4>.
