Not compatible with amp

We have a companion plugin that adds compatibility that you can find here: https://github.com/tomusborne/amp-for-generatepress

As of right now, we don’t want to add anything to the theme that may not be permanent. As AMP is still evolving constantly, we’re holding off on adding it to the theme to avoid any future unnecessary bloat.

Once we have a solid idea of the necessary code (and unnecessary code), we’ll look at merging the plugin into the theme.
