Not Compatible with Blocksy Theme

  • I switched from an unstable Theme to use Blocksy Theme. Suddenly, Badge Designer doesn’t work. I reached out to the developers, and this was their reply:

    I’ve tried to test this plugin and to provide integration with it from Blocksy, but I really think it’s not worth it. <strong>This plugin uses outdated coding techniques and outputs a lot of warnings while the WP_DEBUG mode is turned on</strong>: https://cln.sh/YAPyKI
    Please note that I’ve tested this with the Storefront theme (not Blocksy) — which is the default theme that comes from WooCommerce. So any plugin that claims to work correctly with WooCommerce should also work properly with Storefront. This one doesn’t.
    Once this plugin works reliably with Storefront, we’ll be happy to integrate it with Blocksy too.
    When we implement a Woo related change, we always always test it with Storefront first to make sure how they do it so that we don’t break compatibility with other tools from the ecosystem. So, believe me, it’s really something that we spend a lot of time on and it’s very sad to hear when someone says that we’re “attacking on most WooCommerce related addons”.

    So, to keep our conversation productive, when you see that something is working correctly with Storefront but doesn’t with Blocksy, let us know with detailed reproduction steps and we’ll take care of it.

    Turns out this is Badge Designer plugin again that causes it. In fact, the adding to the cart is VERY fast, it’s just that the loading feedback keeps spinning when this plugin is enabled with Blocksy.`
