Even though Square is connected and is able to accept payment, there is a notice that says – Heads up! There may be a problem with your connection to Square. In order to continue accepting payments, please?disconnect and re-connect your site. How to get rid of this?

  • Hello,

Heads up! There may be a problem with your connection to Square. In order to continue accepting payments, please disconnect and re-connect your site

Even if the connection within?WooCommerce Square?appears to be fine, this notification might indicate that there is some issue with authenticating your Square account.

As mentioned in the notification, the first step is to disconnect and reconnect your site via?WooCommerce > Settings > Square.

If the issue is still present after reconnecting Square, one possibility is that there is a security option on your site/server that is interfering with Square’s connection to your site.

Let us know if disconnecting and reconnecting your site via?resolves this issue on your end.

    Cheers.

I disabled a cache plugin and disconnected and reconnected and the notice is gone. However have another issue. The stock from woocommerce is not updating at square. And if a product already exists at square then the sync creates a new product and adds that. For example I had a product at square sku ending in 001, from before. Now when I synced that product with square, instead of updating the product with the new image, price and stock, it create a new product with sku ending in 001-1. So everytime i update the product at woo, will I have to delete the products and square and do a manual sync first? seems the code is not check to see if a same product sku exists at square?

Sorry, but I am still unsure where the product was created from.

Can you please attach the following?

    • A screenshot of your Square product sync settings from WooCommerce > Settings > Square
    • A couple of screenshots describe the issue. Feel free to use Snipboard to upload them.
    • A copy of your site’s System Status report. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Look forward to hearing back from you.
