    Hey @cyrusmz ,

Thanks for contacting us about Facebook for WooCommerce! Sorry to hear our plugin is giving you trouble. I am happy to help out ??

There are a couple of different error messages we see when there is an issue connecting. Can you please send a screenshot or the text of the error message that you are receiving so we can take a look into what the issue might be?

    Cheers,
    Steve

There are a number of different reasons that this error can happen when connecting. T start with, can you please verify the following:

    • Your pixel, catalog, and Facebook extension must all be under the same Business Manager account.
    • Your site’s timezone setting must be set to something other than UTC+0 (WordPress > Settings > General)
    • Your site’s currency must be supported by Facebook. If it is not, temporarily switch to a supported currency and attempt to connect.

Can you please check that the above three items are all correct for your site?

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Hi,
    – Your pixel, catalog, and Facebook extension must all be under the same Business Manager account. — CHECKED

    – Your site’s timezone setting must be set to something other than UTC+0 (WordPress > Settings > General) – CHECKED
    – Your site’s currency must be supported by Facebook. If it is not, temporarily switch to a supported currency and attempt to connect. — CHECKED

All was working fine before. After new update some months ago (i forgot the version), it stopped working. On that period, many people claimed.
When i use very old versions, it works fine. But it is not safe using old versions. Plugin must be updated.

    Hey @cyrusmz ,

Thanks for checking into those three items!

?We sometimes see this issue come up when there are non-ASCII characters in the page title. I took a look and noted that there are some non-ASCII characters in the title of the site. This data gets saved to Facebook in a field called wc_facebook_external_business_id and we will want to change this to see if it allows your connection to Facebook to complete successfully.

There is a method to change this within the site itself, so let’s start by trying out the steps to change this to see if it helps:

    • Go to <yourdomainname>/wp-admin/options.php
    • Search for wc_facebook_external_business_id
    • In the field next to it, change the data in that field to just the basic title of the page without any extra characters in place.
    • Scroll to the bottom of this page and click Save Changes.
    • In some cases, the data may not be saved due to larger databases and / or PHP settings, so after saving this, locate the wc_facebook_external_business_id field again and verify that the changes in place did save.

Can you please try changing this and see if you can then get connected?

    Cheers,
    Steve
