• Not sure who is using this plugin or where all the positive reviews are coming from, but this plugin is certainly not for anyone depending on it for business needs. We purchased the pro version out of the gate, we never used the free version, however that is irrelevant to its inability to function. At best this is a D+ plugin, and here is why:

Support is not responsive at all. We have outstanding tickets for more than 24 hours and you have no way to follow up, no way to track your ticket, not even a thank you for submitting a ticket email. Just a black hole.

We have been unable to run this plugin in anything but “safe mode” from the start, which the Elementor team believes is a perfectly acceptable fix in a production environment. It is akin to saying “don’t worry about that loud noise and vibration your tire is making, the important thing is it’s rolling”

The strength of this builder should be in its ability to deploy templates. But it depends on a backend database of sorts that is easily corrupted and seems to be built on a one-to-many scale. This means if something is corrupt in your template, all your pages built off that template become corrupt. What’s worse, it isn’t corrupt code that is fixable. Areas like the style and appearance or advance sections suddenly stop working for certain sections, and that section becomes uneducable because the menus simply won’t re-appear. That is, IF you can edit a section, because the mouse tracking is so poor in the plugin that sometimes it is impossible to target an embedded area to edit. We are currently rebuilding over 60 individual pages as a result of this at great expense and lost time to our team.

Again, this plugin’s rating has to be artificial. If you run a serious business and are actually concerned with a plugin’s gremlins that the developers want you to ignore, avoid this plugin at all cost. I am sure this works for small outfits who will probably never use this plugin at scale, or don’t have experienced developers at their disposal. We purchased it in confidence to accelerate some of our efforts, but in the end it has cost me thousands of dollars in lost labor and a delay in our deployment.
