• Initially, your name and address is required when submitting a comment. So obviously, the email address is there to display the user’s email address in the comment (or make their name a link to their email address). But to my surprise, it doesn’t do anything.
    Example:

If I’m not mistaken, “eXcentra” should be a link to the submitted email address. Is it supposed to be like this? How can I fix this? (or make it work)

  • Showing a person’s e-mail address on your site is just going to cause them to get spam. Furthermore, the default wp-comments.php states that their e-mail address will never be shown.
The reason an e-mail address is included is so that the author can contact them.
I’m not saying that you can’t do it… just, you probably shouldn’t.

    Thanks for the input.
