  • Whats the url of your site?
Are you using automatic embedding or shortcode function?

I think that I worked this one out. Apparently I needed to do the newsharecount.com step.

Now my only question: is it possible to configure Mashshare so that it can embed an image (like Facebook does) when you share? Right now Twitter shares are only texts. Thanks.

Twitter does not support uploading images automatically via the tweet function. So this is not possible.

Sigh – it appears that after the last update to 2.5.5 all the counts are stuck again.

Are you using a caching plugin? Make sure to define a cache expiration

Within Mashshare, the expiration expiration is set to 1 hour

sorry – cache expiration is set to 1 hour

If you are using a cache like W3 total or WP Super Cache make sure that it also contains a cache expiration.

However, i am working on a new Mashshare update which bypasses any third party cache, so your issue should be fixed than.

ok, thanks. I’m not using any cache at all. the only cache setting I use is within Mashshare. If you can think of any other reasons why the share count would stop, please let me know. It’s probably not calculated dozens, if not another 100 shares, on the most popular blog post.
