    HI

I’ve just been testing your plugin for a client site.

I have a fucntionality that I need particular MENU items hidden for a role called “WHOLESALE CUSTOMER” and shown for everybody else (whether logged in as a normal customer or not logged in at all).

SO I’ve found it hard to achieve what I want in this example:

    MAIN MENU

    HOME / BRANDS / CATEGORIES / CONTACT

I need a particular menu to be shown to ALL users whether NOT logged in at all (general everyday person), and also same menu for Logged in Users for “CUSTOMER” role.

BRANDS has sub categories for Brand 1, Brand 2, Brand 3, Brand 4, Brand 5

ALL the Brands from Brand 1 – 5 should be viewable to ALL potential customers that have NOT logged in yet (in other words available to everyone …. AND also be available if “CUSTOMER” role is logged in also.

ONLY Sub Category Brand 2, 3 & 4 should viewable on WHOLESALE CUSTOMER LOGIN (NOT all 1-5)

    Therefore my issue is:

So I currently am creating in MENU

    HOME
BRANDS – Brand 1 -5 (for NOT logged in everyday people )
Then Separate BRANDS for Logged in “CUSTOMER” role
Then Separate BRANDS for “WHOLESALE” role ONLY for BRAND 2,3 4
    CATEGORY
    CONTACT

Therefore maybe I am missing something? I was hoping I don’t have to create 3 sets of “BRANDS” and sub categories for the relevant Role “WHOLESALE CUSTOMER” and separate for logged in “Customer” role and separate for “Not logged in.

There doesn’t seem to be an option to choose IF this, then this, and this …

So I’m getting a bit frustrated.
    Hopefully I haven’t sounded confusing …

As the plugin doesn’t seem to allow me to choose BRANDS (show all 5 brands for Customer NOT logged in and for “CUSTOMER” role logged in) AND then Brand 2,3,4 for “WHOLESALE” role only ..

If anyone has a better way for me to do this would be greatly appreciated.

I’m working on a client live site that I need to fix this issue.

I have tried other plugins like IF PLUGIN and that didn’t work at all.
So I’m getting really stuck to achieve SEPARATE menu for “WHOLESALE” role as that is my ultimate aim.

I already have the MAIN menu working for all users as I chose for EVERYONE initially, but now I need separate MENU items for the “WHOLESALE” role customer.

Rather urgent if someone has some tips for this plugin would be great.
Maybe I have missed something that I don’t know about ??
    Thanks
    Kristin

I really need an option that is easier for Who can see this MENU link ?

    LOGGED OUT USERS AND
LOGGED IN USERS with Role “CUSTOMER”

Rather than 1 or the other …

Then I would still have to create a 2nd BRANDS for “WHOLESALE CUSTOMER” role and add Brand 2,3,4 for that.

If there was a possibility to say for Brand 2, 3,4 allow ALL users whether logged in OR not including “WHOLESALE CUSTOMER” AND “CUSTOMER” that would be fantastic but I can’t see an option for that at all. I would prefer that option.

    Thanks

    Hey @kristinubute,

    ?Thanks for reaching out.

If we understand your question, you should be able to create 3 top-level “Brands” menu items with their respective sub-level “Brand 1-5” items in your main menu.

Then using User Menus, set up your conditions on the top-level “Brands” items only to filter who can view that version of your “Brands” menu structure.

    E.g.:

    First “Brands”: Logged Out Users

    Second “Brands”: Logged in Customers

Third “Brands”: Logged in Wholesale Customers

Here’s a mini example we set up so you can get a visual.

    We hope that helps.

Let us know if we missed something or if you need anything else.

    Have a great day ??

    Thanks for replying.

I was hoping NOT to have to create 3 different ones, as the Brands have over 50 in each. Therefore creating them 3 times on the one MAIN MENU, is too time-consuming, so I was hoping somehow to SET UP RULES for them so I just have 1 x Brands and setup rules in that under Brand 1-5 …

But maybe that is NOT possible with any plugin ?

If I could just CHOOSE Brand 1 & Brand 5 NOT to show for “WHOLESALE CUSTOMER” role then that would be great. BUT it seems that I can’t just do it in one step, I have to create the BRANDS 3 times with 3 sets of rules which is a major pain if over 50 Brand names in each.

If it was ONLY 5 would be OK, my example was only 5, but client has OVER 50 in Brands ….

    Any other workaround?

    Thanks

Where it says “Who can see this link” … there is a dropdown for 3 choices only “Logged in Users” or “Logged out Users” or “Everyone” , wish I could choose MORE than 1 option that would help me greatly.

Is that a possibility at all ?

    IF I could choose:

Logged in Users AND Logged out Users (choose)
And then you have option to “CHOOSE which roles won’t see this link”
    And choose “WHOLESALE CUSTOMER” role.

If ONLY I could choose Logged out Users AND Logged out Users at the same time, but it seems to be either one or the other …

    Thanks
    Kristin

    Hey @kristinubute,

    Thanks so much for clarifying.

Right now, the plugin can only support your restriction combinations the way we mentioned earlier. We understand that doesn’t scale for you. We wish we had better news for you.

We’ll definitely keep your ideas in mind for future releases.

    Thanks again for your feedback.
