Not English on Twitter share

Thanks for reporting this.

For me it shows “Tweet” and “Follow” in English. What does it show for you? Maybe do you have the browser language set to a non-English language, or are you accessing the page from a country where English is not the main language?

When you click on the Twitter link it is not in English as the others are.

On which link should I click? If I move over the Twitter icon on the left (floating) it shows “Tweet” in English.

It shows Tweet in English until you select tweet then it opens a non english panel.

Incorrect, Whether I am logged in to Twitter or not logged in yet, the language is NOT English. Yes, it’s an English, US based twitter account.

Thats strange. Could you please try from a different device? Is it then still in non-English. What language is it in?

On my phone, I am logged in and it works correctly.
On my desktop and laptop in Safari I get the language above.

In Google Chrome it’s correct and I get English.
The plugin will not work for me if it eliminates an entire web browser.

For me it also shows correctly in Firefox.

In any case it’s not because of our plugin, because our plugin just applies the official Facebook code. So you should see the same issue if you placed the Facebook codes directly.

No other user has reported this, so it must be a very specific issue. I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that it’s on this weird url – could you please check how it is when it’s live, on a “proper” domain?

I too have a similar problem.

When hovering over the Facebook icon the ‘Visit Us’ option is in English, but the ‘Like’ and ‘Share’ options are (I think) in Dutch.

Strange case… a new idea: if you install this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/ultimate-social-media-plus/, under question 6 it has options to pick the language. Do the buttons respond to that?

I deactivated the original plugin and have tried the ultimate-social-media-plus plugin.

In Question 6, the language is set to English for everything.

Twitter displays its labels in English, but Facebook labels are still in Dutch.

Sorry – Facebook’s ‘Visit us’ label is still in English.

Ok… If you embed the Facebook share button directly as it comes from Facebook (see https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/share-button/), in which language does it show then?
