Not enough space available to install WP

  • I am completely new at all this and was trying to download WP via Fantastico Deluxe. I get a message that says:

    Not enough space available to install WordPress
    Disk space required: 7.26 MB
    Disk space available: -0.5 MB

    My computer has more than 37GB available. Is the ‘space available’ referring to elsewhere? Hosting maybe? I have arranged hosting with seo hosting.

    If anyone could shed some light on this issue, I’d me much appreciated. I’m sure it’s easy to resolve if you know how. But until then, I’m stuck….

    do you mean one click install?
    if so, space is on web host

    I’m having the same problem. My host told me to upgrade my account but this hasn’t seemed to have worked. any other advice?

    I’have the same problem I’m trying to download WordPress via Fantastico deluxe I have this message
    Not enough space available to install WordPress
    Disk space required: 9.03 MB
    Disk space available: -0.5 MB
    My hard disc has 384 GB of free space it’s enough,

    May be is refering to Hosting but I don’t know how to change it
    Please anyone can give me a hand

    I have the same problem. It says the same message on all 3 computers in this house! I need 9.56 MB and only have -.5. In fact, I have 70 GB free. I do not see an answer to any of these posts. How does one get an answer?

    As indicated above, this could be an issue you may need to take up with your hosting service.

    It appears it might be loosely related to hosting plan setting errors or corruption in Fantastico related services. There may be some solutions to similar issues found in a couple of these articles.
