    Hello,

I used to use google site kit for a long time. But since the Google Analitycs 4 changes to replace Google Universal Analytics, the results are no longer displayed.

I have the message “Not enough traffic yet to display stats” but everything looks like ok.

In the settings og site kit, google analytics looks like ok :
    – the new property google analytics 4 is connected (i can see the id) ;
    – the snippet is inserted.

When i go to https://analytics.google.com, i can see the stats.

Do you have any idea ?

    Thanks

    Hi @albedo0,

Thanks for getting in touch. Within the Site Kit dashboard the plugin will display data based on the connected Universal Analytics (UA) property at present, and not the connected Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property. This will change moving forward. This may one possible reason why you don’t see any traffic within the Site Kit dashboard – if you’ve just changed the connected UA property or if you have not chosen to allow Site Kit to insert a Universal Type Analytics property.

I’m happy to check your configuration if you wish to share your Site Health information, and share whether you see traffic for the connected UA property from the Analytics platform directory (and not the GA4 property). I ask as Site Kit pulls the information from users Google Analytics account.

    Hi @jamesosborne

I thought I had to replace universal analytics with google analytics 4. The plugin was configured not to integrate the UA snippet but only that of GA4. If that’s the problem, I just re-enabled the UA snippet.
From when will the GA4 results be displayed?

    Hi @albedo0,

Thanks for the update, and sharing your Site Health information. From checking the details you will see data start recording for the connected Universal Type (UA) analytics property now that you’ve enabled the snippet. It may take a day or so to gather UA data, at which point it will be reflected in the Site Kit dashboard.

From when will the GA4 results be displayed?

Great question. As more users switch to GA4 reporting, and as the Analytics API develops further for GA4 reporting we do plan on switching over well ahead of the sun set period for Universal Type Analytics. I don’t have an exact timeframe on this yet however it will be announced closer to the time. We have more information on how Site Kit currently works with GA4 added to the plugin website:
    https://sitekit.withgoogle.com/documentation/using-site-kit/ga4/

Let me know if you have any further questions with the above. Otherwise I’ll close this support topic. Thank you!
