Installed this on a client’s site this week – the initial backup eventually went through, though took a while and with XML errors. however, after that, backups won’t run whatsoever. I get

“Job “Full Backup” has started, but not responded for 10 seconds. Please check information.”

and this is the ‘Server self connect’ response:

    Not expected HTTP response:
    Status-Code: 503
    Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8
    Retry-after: 5

is the host blocking this somehow?

thanks in advance for any help ??

  • Hmmm. i can see that you have a Varnish active. I think it is better to do the backup with wp-cli on comandline.

thank you for getting back to me!

does that mean backwpup isn’t going to work in this instance UNLESS via WP-CLI? are there any changes that can be made on the hosting side?

thanks again for your time and feedback ??

That looks like a problem with the varnish configuration. best is when wp-cron.php will be called from the server it must not pass the varnish.
