• I don’t really know what star rating to give this, The end product on my site is exactly what I wanted, so that’s a positive. However, it’s taken me a couple of hours of writing my own css to make it that way, I wanted three boxes next to each other but when I implemented that it was all messed up, there was no margin and the text wasn’t contained in the box etc. I also wanted to put a button in the boxes so I had to code that too. you could say that the amount of work I had to put in defeats the object of getting a plugin but to be honest, I only wrote CSS, the animation is great, and who else on wordpress offers a version of this plugin without having to pay that works perfectly? This, in my opinion, is the best provider of an image or box div with animated overlay, such a simple technique but with a flat button on the overlay and the right fonts it can look really nice and professional. Hats off to the developer, great plugin, just needs some customising once you’ve got the groundworks laid down. And to be honest the fact you can customise it is another rarity on this site.

    *UPDATE*

Forgot to actually post this review, but I’ve been playing with the boxes on my site in the mean time and they’re incredible, for that reason it’s a 5*

First of all, thanks for the 5*

The end result in your page actually depends on the css for that page. The admin panel and the web page renders different css so it might need a little bit of tweaking. But we are working on it and will update the plugin as soon as we get it done.

    Thanks.

Oh I see! well a bit of tweaking is well worth the end product, an excellent plugin.

Hi Hesusko, I’m only using them in a draft at the moment until I can get them working as smooth as possible

Do you have multiple multiple boxes in one page?

If yes, does each title on each box have the same height?

    Thread Starter LouisAJD

    (@louisajd)

Yes I do, and yes they do

I notice that when the page loads “hoverMain square_hover” has top set to 200px which leaves it in the right place, after hovering and then moving away the top position changes to 216px which i’m guessing is causing the issue. Not sure how to fix though.

You can fix it in the mind_blown.js file. If you don’t know where that is.

you can go to your files -> wp-plugins -> atomic penguins hover effect -> js -> mind_blown.js file.

If you don’t know how to edit js files, you can send it to me and I will fix it for you.

    Did you find it sir?

Hi, sorry, got the file, not sure what to edit!

    var total_height = e(".square_preview").height() - 50;

Find that line and you can adjust the number “50” to get your desired position.
