• I’ve been fiddling to get this site up again so posting now because can’t find a solution. Site was good then out of the blue it broke.

I have uninstalled all plugins. I can login to the admin running Super Admin and four sites and get to the main home page but no other pages.

This is what comes on any pages i try and load. Could it be the .htaccess file?

  • in your admin panel settings permalinks chnage it to default and save and see if you can see your pages and posts.

if it works then try and reset custom structure.

Your a champion! That fixed it. I had a few people on my back to get the site up and going.

I did try changing that structure before but i did not select the default and that’s the one that fixed it. Hopefully i can convert it to the custom again now with now problems.

    Thanks a lot!!!

You should be fine it just resets your .htacess when you that.

Where is the .htaccess in multi site admin found again or what is the code that should be in the file so i can double check it!?

It’s only working on default permalinks not back to custom.

The .htaccess file cannot be accessed through the WP admin dashboard. You have to access the .htaccess file by using FTP to log into your webserver.

Typically .htaccess files are found in root directories and an example would be https://example.com/blog where the .htaccess file would be located in the blog folder.

OK, so it is in Tools > Network something strange still going on since it can’t go back to custom.

It’s back working again only with the default permalinks selected though.

JarretC, i meant with the Multi sites admin where is the example of an htaccess that needs to go on the server so that i could copy it up! i.e. Tools > Network

Because i tried the htacccess example in the muti codex instructions and that broke it as well so needed to change it back. I’ve got the site installed in a folder named /blog/.

Right, when you visit Tools->Network you need to copy the code from the second textarea and replace whatever code is in the .htaccess file in the blog folder with the code provided in the Tools->Network page.
